The search is on to find more foster carers in Doncaster who will open their homes and hearts.

An online event hosted by Trust Fostering, who deliver fostering services on behalf of Doncaster Council, will give an insight into what it is like to be a foster carer.

The two sessions will take place on Wednesday, 7 July from 11 am to 12 noon and 6 pm to 7 pm, using video calling service MS Teams.

During the one hour session, the fostering team will explain the steps to becoming a foster carer, as well as the support offered by the team throughout your time with Trust Fostering. Foster carers will also be on hand to share their experiences of fostering and the difference they’ve made to the lives of children and young people in Doncaster.

There are many benefits of fostering through Trust Fostering. You will be a part of an extensive experienced fostering community that are always on hand to offer advice, 24/7 support and comprehensive training.

Katie Fisher, Team Manager for Trust Fostering, said: “We need more people who have been thinking about fostering to get in touch. The event is a perfect opportunity to hear from our foster carers, speak to our fostering team and find out more about how you could open up your home and heart and make a difference to the lives of children and young people from Doncaster.”

“Our foster carers come from all backgrounds. The one thing all our carers have in common is they are great listeners and have endless care and love to support our children and young people.

“If this sounds like you, and you are aged over 21 and have at least one spare bedroom, we would love to hear from you.”

To book your place or for more information, contact the fostering team by calling 0808 129 2600 or email asktrustfostering@dcstrust.co.uk. Once we've received your request, you will be sent a link to join the event.
